Hi, I'm Tania, founder of Blue Ginger Picnics. That's me picking garlic scapes as part of our on-farm picnic experience at The Lime Shed.
And yes, I actually ate this raw scape. Very strong but delicious! Garlic is great for the immune system.
I'm also founder of My Daily Chai, a 100% organic, hormone-balancing and energy boosting chai (but that's another story!).
I LOVE picnics and spent most of my 20's travelling the world in search of the Perfect Picnics Spot.
But of course now...to keep ourselves and our community safe, we're picnicking at home.
Which is difficult for outdoor lovers like me and all our alfresco dining guests.
So to help support you during isolation, we've bundled up a selection of 100% local goodies for you to enjoy at home.
You may (or may not) know that in March 2020 Blue Ginger Picnics won Gold at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards. We were the only Gold winner for NSW and it's such an honour to represent The Tweed and NSW at a National level.

Two years ago I had a vision to create an eco-conscious, plastic-free and zero waste outdoor dining company where our guests could reconnect with nature, food and each other.
And for our small family business to receive this recognition by the tourism industry as number one in Australia, is a phenomenal honour.
We could never have achieved this without the support of our local businesses, farmers, suppliers and producers.
During these challenging times, we're uniting to stay afloat, remain calm and support each other.
We asked our local community if they'd be interested in picnic-at-home hampers, and the response was amazing. Hundreds of people replied.
From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for choosing to buy local and support small family businesses stay afloat.
Everyone needs to eat and there's no doubt, that eating fresh, local, unprocessed food is better for individuals, families, communities and the world.

PS: Business Australia recently interviewed me on their Podcast The Company You Keep. Apparently my story made a few senior tourism operators cry. Here's the link if you fancy a listen.
